My first assignment as an Estate Development Coordinator(EDC) was at LBP San Isidro(Nueva Ecija) Field Office(SIFO). My coverage was the Cabiao IEDP area. The Field Operations Manager(FOM) then was Manuel B. Mendoza. There were two(2) other IEDP areas covered by SIFO: Jaen 1 assigned to Wilfredo San Juan and Jaen 11 assigned to Rolando Magno.

My youngest child, Jelyn Christelle was born on May 27, 1984.
In 1986, after about 7 years as field operations manager of SIFO, Manuel B. Mendoza was re-assigned to another region. The tenure of Mr. Mendoza as manager was characterized by non-movement of personnel in terms of promotion.
Mr. Rosendo de Guzman took over as FOM of San Isidro FO. But his stint was only for about a year. He was re-assigned to the Cabanatuan Field Office.

In April, 1987 Mr. Percival Dasoy took over as manager of San Isidro FO. His tenure as manager was likewise only about a year.
It was on the term of Mr. Dasoy that I was designated as Acting Field Operations Supervisor.

Mr.Victor Tagaza became our manager in 1988. His term of office was also short lived. He filed a vacation leave to go to Australia but ultimately didn't return to the Philippines.

TYPHOON UNSANG....OCTOBER 25, 1988
It was in October 25, 1988 that typhoon Unsang, one of the most destructive typhons to hit the country, struck which caused tremendous damage to property and crops. Our town in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija was one of the towns affected by the flood waters brought by the typhoon.

Mr. Raymundo A. Dionisio took over as manager of San Isidro FO in October, 1988.
It was on Mr. Dionisio's watch that the potential of the personnel of the unit were utilized and tapped. Most of the the staff were promoted and ultimately became managers themselves, like Adriano (Danny Liwag), Jesus V. Padua, Eufronio (Jun) Soriano, Prudencio (Amang) Elegado, and myself.
It was at this time, on August, 1989 that I was assigned as head of the Loans and Discount division of Aurora Field Office.
