The Landbank Years...Alaminos FO

I started my assignment in Alaminos FO on April 1, 1994. Alaminos was a town of Pangasinan in Region 1. The regional Head was vice-president Hegino(Gino) Ortiz. The regional office was located in Urdaneta, Pangasinan.

Some of LandBank colleagues who were also from Nueva Ecija and assigned in Region 1 were Perfecto Parinas(Urdaneta(FO), Francis Pasado(Tayug FO), and Prudencio"Amang" Elegado.

My assignment in Alaminos lasted for ten months. In the early part of December, Mr. Raymundo A. Dionisio,vice-president and regional head of region 3(also my former manager in San Isidro FO) called me in Alaminos to inform me that the USP project of LBP will be implemented by early 1995. Four(4) pilot USP projects would be opened; two in Luzon(Lipa, Batangas and Iba, Zambales); one each in the Visayas and Mindanao. Mr. Dionisio asked me if I would be interested to head the Iba USP. I immediately answered in the affirmative since it was an opportunity to be back in region 3 and at the same time a challenge to head the unification of the branch banking and agrarian operation of the bank in the USP project.

On December 28,1994 I received a special order for my assignment to Iba Field Office, in Iba, Zambales.
